The Technische Universität Berlin, or TU Berlin, is located at the heart of the German capital and is one of the country’s largest and most internationally-renowned technical universities. It has seven faculties, not only focussing on the natural and technical sciences, but also on economics, social sciences and the humanities.

In general the language of instruction is German. However, some study programmes offer courses in English.
Students should select courses related to the ISCED code and offered by Faculty V - Mechanical Engineering and Transport Systems

Proof of A2 level in German at the time of application. In addition, proof of B1 level must be provided before the semester start!
The University’s Modern Language Center offers language courses at level B1 and above to help you prepare. Participation requires a minimum level of A2 in the placement test.
Proof of B2 level in English if you wish to study in a master’s program where English is the language of instruction.

For exchange students they have a very limited number of dormitory rooms in certain dorm locations available (dorm "Hans und Hilde Coppie", dorm "Sewanstraße", dorm "Siegmundshof - Haus I" and dorm "Hubertusallee") which are provided by the Studierendenwerk Berlin.
A few weeks after our application deadline ends they will give you the opportunity to apply for one of these rooms. For this purpose they will send you information about the particulars of the available dormitories and the application process. As an exchange student you cannot apply directly at the Studierendenwerk for our rooms - only trough their office!
TU Braunschweig has about 270 years of experience in educating students in technical, but also social studies. The university consists of 6 schools and 120 university research institutes that offer options for study and research. The university has close contact with partners in research, business and industry to provide students with valuable connections for their career. Braunschweig is one of the most attractive research regions in Germany.
Please note that the academic schedule is different from TU Delft. For semester 1 the lectures are finished at the end of January, but exams take place until the end of February.

Those include courses of Mechanical Engineering, Computer Sciences, Economics and Electrical Engineering. Exchange students are able to take any courses for which they have the pre-requisites.
Note that the Aerospace Engineering programme is only offered at Master level, which you are free to select courses from, as well.

For courses taught in German a B2 level is required at the start of the study programme, especially for courses in the field of Humanities. You can follow an intensive language course before the start of the programme to improve your German language skills. The Language Centre at TU Braunschweig offers summer courses and German classes during the semester on all levels.

A semester fee is charged to exchange students. This contains e.g. the Deutschlandsemesterticket which is a semester-long ticket for public transport (excluding ICE/EC) and the Niedersachsenmenü which is a daily meal plan.

Students may apply for a room at the university halls or look for a private apartment themselves. University accommodation for exchange students is provided through the Studentenwerk, but is not guaranteed. The earlier you apply, the more chance you have to find suitable accommodation.
The Technische Universität Dresden, or TU Dresden, is the largest university in the region of Saxony. While it is known for its long tradition of engineering sciences, it now also encompasses majors in the natural and social sciences as well as the humanities.

At least half of the courses need to be taken from the Chair of Air Transport Technology and Logistics. The other half of the courses can be taken from the course offer of TU Dresden, an overview of the course catalogue can be found here. Please be aware that most courses are offered in German. Courses specifically from the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences that we have an agreement with are shown here.
In addition to those courses, there is a Minor focused on “Air Traffic Management Logistics” set up for international students. It consists of an individual project (max 10 ECTS) combined with courses. There is flexibility in the topic of the project, as you will choose in consultation with the professor within the frame that is provided. The project is generally conducted individually, but it is possible to do it in a small group. The minor courses are part of the regular German curriculum and hence also German students attend the lectures.
Usually the winter term is from October to March and the summer term from April to September. However, TU Dresden offers this Minor in the period between September to January to match the academic schedule abroad.
For the courses offered in German, a B1 language level is strongly advised, however, you are allowed to obtain that level by taking language courses prior to your exchange. During the semester, students also have the opportunity to take German language classes free of charge which are offered at different skill levels. It is obligatory in most cases to take a placement test online, click for more information.

The University of Stuttgart has a worldwide reputation for excellence in the fields of mobile and information technology, production, process engineering as well as in life sciences. The main emphasis is on engineering and the natural sciences, but combining these areas with the humanities and the social sciences adds something special to the university’s profile.

Course possibilities: Students may choose freely amongst all courses, both Bachelor and Master courses are allowed. Most courses, except the international Master programs, are taught in German. All courses offered at the University of Stuttgart are listed in the LSF. The LSF provides you with course descriptions including ECTS points, language of instruction and course schedule; course catalogue. The academic calendar can be found here.
Normally, there is a possibility for exchange students to arrange the dates for their exams together with the professor, so that you can start your regular semester at the TU Delft. To do this, the student must contact the professor of the selected course for approval. It is always highly recommend that all students introduce themselves personally to the professor during the first class and to discuss the exams with him/her early on.
All incoming students on exchange are free to choose courses from the entire course catalogue. They are not restricted to one faculty, institute or subject area. They can combine courses how they suit them (bachelor and master courses, academic courses with language courses etc.), as long as their home institution agrees.
