Robotics (3mE)

Robotization is the perfect example of a Digital Society. This master program is largely about applying software to create an artificial ‘brain’ that is integrated with the mechanical ‘body’ of a robot. Future society needs Robotics Engineers who understand how algorithms can be applied and who ensure that mechanical systems learn and interact in complex environments.

Urbanism (Arch)

Within the MScU there is a focus on the digital society where it affects urban life and requires new spatial structures at the neighborhood, city and regional scale.

Strategic Product Design (IDE)

The focus of the Strategic Product Design (SPD) Master’s programme is on the business context of product and service design. This can be the context of large international corporations, strong design consultancies, or start-up entrepreneurship. The programme’s emphasis is on translating a company’s strategy and market opportunities into a strong product or service portfolio. SPD provides the insights and the tools to exploit business resources and market opportunities. In other words, it aims at maximising the impact of design on business and markets!

Mechanical Engineering: Multi-Machine Engineering (3mE)

In complex multi-machine systems, as found in transport and production environments, connected networks are essential for the exchange of information and collaborative decision making. MME is using artificial intelligence and machine learning methods to change the increasing amount of available data into useful information and real-time decisions.

Marine Technology (3mE)

With ever more complex ships and on-board systems, endless sensor data, more and more actuator options, etc. ships are becoming sailing computers that can be optimized and controlled from shore. This master program teaches you how to become a future marine engineer with a good grasp of possibilities, limitations, threats and opportunities of Digital Society developments when studying the implications in a marine context.

Nanobiology (AS)

The Nanobiology master programme includes a large focus on computational modelling and large data sets. As the use of big data in health care, and fundamental research increases this programme can be foundational to applying these concepts in a wide variety of fields.

Metropolitan Analysis, Design and Engineering (MADE) TU Delft Master

One of the six themes within AMS Institute and MADE is responsible urban digitazation. New digital tools and technologies, such as the use of big data, sensor networks, artificial intelligence and robots can support the city in tackling certain problems. How are public and democratic values safeguarded? Within a number of the MADE courses you can choose to focus on 'responsible urban digitazation'.
