D.I.S.A. Alborz
The Iranian student association, D.I.S.A. Alborz, aims to promote and expand the interests of students with an Iranian background and others with a connection to the TU Delft, or interests concerning Iran and Iranian cultures and history. We are a non- profit, non-religious and non-partisan association.
Being from an oppressed country ourselves, where the basic human rights of the Iranian people are violated daily, it is of utmost importance to us to dedicate a significant portion of our time and efforts to bringing to attention and safeguarding of Human Rights, with equal treatment of people, especially with regards to raising awareness for and supporting marginalized groups.
We organize activities, events and conferences that cover a wide range of interests, with consideration for the physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of our members. On top of all that, we celebrate ancient traditions of Iran as well, such as Yalda (the longest night of the year), Nowruz (the Iranian new year at the start of spring) and many more!
Lastly, we provide a support network and mentorship for our members, especially newcomers, so that their stay here is greatly improved. With all our efforts we hope to contribute positively to the TU Delft community, so that our tomorrow is just a little better than today!
