Are you looking for an article, but it is not available online? Or would you like to make copies of a book that is not on loan? We are happy to make a copy or scan for you. Even when an article or book is not in our collection, in most cases we can arrange a copy or scan from a collection from another library. The documents are sent to you by email (pdf). This service is available to TU students and employees and non-profit organisations under the following conditions.
TU Delft students and employees
Are you looking for an article from our hardcopy collection, or would you like copies of certain pages from a book, and you are unable to come to the Library yourself? We can make a copy or a scan The documents are sent to you by email (pdf). This service is free for TU Delft employees.
If an article is not available in our collection offline or online, in most cases we can arrange a copy or scan from a collection from another library. The documents will be delivered by mail (pdf). This service is free of charge for TU Delft employees and TU Delft students. Note: this does not apply to borrowing books from another library.
Non-profit organisations
Are you looking for an article in our electronic or paper collection, or would you like a copy from a book? We can make copies or a scan for a fee. The documents will be delivered via email (pdf). You need an account to make use of this service.
Before you order a pdf from a publisher for a fee it is smart to first check through these steps whether a free version of the publication is available online.

We deliver the copy or scan from our own collection as quickly as possible, in most cases within 24 hours. This is only possible if the request details are correct and the material is also available with us. If the copy has to come from another library or even from abroad, the delivery time is usually longer.

Before you order a PDF from a publisher against payment, it is smart to first check through these steps whether a freely available version of the publication is available online.
(*) Students: it costs less money if you make a copy or scan yourself. Request the book or magazine for inspection from the depot. See: borrowing.

- Go to the TU Delft catalog and log in. If the article or chapter is not available in the TU Delft Library collection, you can request it directly via the "Request item" button. All data is then entered automatically.
- You can also complete this online application form. Enter as many important details as possible, such as title, author, year of publication and ISBN.

TU Delft students receive a bill for requesting articles / chapters from their own collection. The amount to be paid can be found in "My Library account". Payment is made at the counter. Save costs and make a copy or scan yourself by requesting the book or magazine from the depot.
Non-profit organizations receive an invoice by email.
