The publishing process
A lot is involved when publishing your article or other scientific publications. From choosing your audience, choosing a journal and making dissemination plan to dealing with reviewers, editors and publishers. And how about authorship, copyright, open access, and impact? Understanding the publishing process is crucial for your success.
Some publishers like Elsevier and Springer offer useful advice about the publication process, tailored to their prerequisites.
Where to publish?
An important part of your publication strategy involves choosing suitable journals. If you aim at reaching the academic community, choosing the right journal will depend on the scope of the journal, the reputation of the editorial board, the acceptance ratio, the average speed from time of submission to final publication, and journal visibility. The Journal Impact Factor (IF) plays an important role in evaluating scholarly journals. The IFs are published yearly in the Journal Citation Reports Consult the IF here.
