Drones are increasingly finding applications in various industries because of their agility, speed and ability to explore hard-to-reach or dangerous areas. Some examples of drone applications in various sectors are: Search and rescue, Inspection of infrastructure, site mapping, inventory management and in horticulture.
Research is currently being conducted at Delft University of Technology on drone delivery, such as drug delivery.
