Imaging Technology

Imaging technology focuses on visualizing the human body to diagnose (and possibly treat simultaneously) diseases, as well as visualizing the "building blocks" of life (think cells, molecules). This is done with non-invasive techniques such as X-rays, ultrasound, CT scans, MRI scans, PET-CT and microscopy. It is crucial for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, as well as for understanding the onset and prevention of diseases.

At Delft University of Technology, we strive to innovate in this field through scientific research and instrument development.
