Profile
Kars Alfrink is a designer, researcher, and educator working at the intersection of emerging technologies, social progress, and public life. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Delft University of Technology, focusing on contestable AI. He co-founded Tech Solidarity NL and Hubbub and was a co-curator for This Happened’s Dutch events. With over 15 years of experience in design, he has previously worked as a consultant, entrepreneur, and educator and has held various roles in web agencies. He holds a master of arts in interaction design from Utrecht School of the Arts and a doctorate in contestable artificial intelligence from Delft University of Technology. He resides in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
