Delft Hyperloop Lunch Meeting

Calling All Researchers Curious About Future Hyperloop Systems

15 January 2025 11:30 till 13:00 | Add to my calendar

This event is part of our Dies Natalis anniversary week ‘Making sense of mobility’

In 2017, the Delft Hyperloop student team made history by winning the first Hyperloop competition. Since then, the momentum has only grown. Hardt Hyperloop, founded by four Delft Hyperloop alumni, is leading the charge in Europe, with multiple test facilities now operational, a CEN standardization project underway, and growing support from influential stakeholders.

Interest in Hyperloop technology is expanding across European universities, and with The Netherlands at the forefront, TU Delft is uniquely positioned to lead in Hyperloop research. We invite all TU Delft researchers interested in exploring Hyperloop as a new transport modality to join this engaging lunch session. Learn about the current progress, uncover research opportunities, and discover potential funding paths to help accelerate Hyperloop development.

Why attend? The transport sector is facing stringent emission requirements by 2050. While aviation strives for greener solutions, Hyperloop is emerging as a viable, low-carbon alternative for high-demand routes. Hyperloop has the potential to significantly reduce CO2 emissions and complement high-speed rail, adding much-needed capacity to meet future transport demands.

With many technical, business, and societal challenges ahead, Hyperloop presents a fascinating field for researchers from all faculties at TU Delft. Let’s investigate this promising future together!

Making Sense of Mobility

This event is part of TU Delft’s 183nd Dies Natalis celebrations with the theme Making Sense of Mobility. From 13 to 17 January we discuss and shape the future of mobility together. We invite all students, employees, alumni, partners and peers to take part in one of our events week and join the Dies Natalis anniversary ceremony.  With debates, lectures, demo’s and a Mobility Innovation event, there should be something to meet your needs.
