Rider safety is more than just following traffic rules. Behind every quick delivery lies a complex system of logistics and human elements. This webinar looks at the growing presence of this new group of road users – delivery drivers – and how their presence and behaviours affect road traffic, safety and other users, and what factors, for example pressure to meet delivery schedules/quotas or use of easily modified bikes (such as fatbikes), play a role in safety.
Participants will gain a comprehensive socio-technical perspective on enhancing safety in the evolving food delivery sector.
