Microscopy workshop Rob van Es - May
27 May 2023 14:00 till 16:00 | Add to my calendar
It may not sound very exciting: looking at a piece of plant material under the microscope. But it really is! The interior of a plant is extremely ingenious in terms of construction and interacting parts. You will discover that in the two-hour microscopy workshop by Rob van Es. Thinly cut slices of plant material are treated with dyes and alcohol so that the diverse functions of the cells are displayed in a rich contrast. Come to this workshop and find out for yourself. Ten microscopes and all other supplies will be provided. The microscopic preparations you will make can be taken home.
This workshop is also for people who have never used a microscope.
