Workshop & lectures: Equity × A+BE: Intersecting differences

In the context of TU Delft’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Week, 3–6 October, themed “The Road to Equity: From Awareness to Empowerment”, the Diversity & Inclusion Office of the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment organizes a day-long event with workshop and public lectures.

Program

10:00–12:30        Introduction and workshop about urban design, spatial justice, and intersectionality.
13:30–16:30 

Afternoon presentations and panel discussion on intersectional approaches, with

  • Ain Contractor, researcher at the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, on mapping wetland care practices 
  • Gabriel Maher, design-led researcher Design Academy Eindhoven, on spatial justice/mapping queer bodies
  • Teana Boston-Mammah, lecturer cultural diversity in social practices, WDKA Rotterdam, on spatial justice in Rotterdam (education)
