Dynamic control of microgear robots in an Optoelectronic Tweezer (OET) setup

Supervisors: dr. Carlas Smith, Yabin Wang

Abstract: Optoelectronic Tweezers (OET) use dielectrophoretic forces to precisely manipulate dielectric particles within a microfluidic chip. By integrating microgear robots as agents in the OET system, more complex particles and structures can be controlled. This project aims to construct a functional OET setup from scratch and optimize the microgear robots for efficient interaction with the system. The findings will provide valuable insights into the potential of OET technology for advanced applications.
