Support for Syria and Turkiye
Dear EEMCS faculty community,
We would like raise awareness and make a call for support to address the two recent heavy earthquakes (with magnitudes of 7.8 and 7.6 sequentially) in Turkiye and Syria. These earthquakes made collapse approximately 6.000 apartments, there are more than 17.000 fatalities in Turkiye, more than 3,000 fatalities in Syria, and millions of people and children in need of humanitarian aid (food, water, and shelter). Unfortunately, these numbers are still increasing.
It is the coldest time of the year in that part of the countries, and it is currently snowing and raining. People who got rescued now face the danger of hunger, hypothermia, and the absence of shelter.
If you would like to help these people, you can donate to AHBAP, a trustworthy NGO in Turkiye that is currently helping victims in the area, or Giro555 in the Netherlands.
Small or big, any donations will contribute a lot.
On behalf of those in need, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your generosity in donating towards humanitarian aid. Your generosity serves as a beacon of hope and a reminder that united, we can bring comfort and relief to those in need.
