Admission and application Dutch university BSc degree
Direct admission (no specific requirements)
Applicants with a bachelor’s degree from Delft University of Technology, Eindhoven University of Technology, or the University of Twente in the following subjects are admitted directly, i.e. without specific requirements:
- Aerospace Engineering (TU Delft)
- Applied Earth Sciences (TU Delft)
- Applied Physics (TU/e, TU Delft, UT)
- Chemical Engineering (TU/e, UT)
- Electrical Engineering (TU/e, TU Delft, UT)
- Maritime Engineering (TU Delft)
- Mechanical Engineering (TU/e, TU Delft, UT)
- Molecular Science and Technology (joint programme TU Delft and UL)
Applicants with a bachelor’s degree from a Dutch research university in the following subjects are admitted directly:
- Astronomy
- Physics
- Chemistry
Bachelor in Civil Engineering (TU Delft)
Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (TU Delft) can be admitted if they have completed one of the following three sets of courses during their bachelor registration:
Minor Electrical Sustainable Energy Systems (EEMCS)
OR
Minor Engineering for Large-Scale Energy Conversion and Storage (ME)
OR
The courses WB3240 Systeem- en Regeltechniek (6 EC), WB2542 Stroming en Warmte (6EC) and WB2543 T1 S Process Engineering and Thermodynamics (3EC)
Individual evaluation of admission
Applications of students who possess a Dutch bachelor’s degree not mentioned above will be assessed by the admission committee based on the performance and study load of at least 100 ECTS in key engineering subjects, of which at least 20 ECTS in mathematics subjects. The key engineering subjects for the SET master programme are defined as:
- Mathematics (Calculus, Linear Algebra, Numerical Analysis, Differential Equations)
- Physics (mainly Thermodynamics, Classical Mechanics)
- Chemistry
- Transport phenomena
- Electrical circuits
