Open Education Stimulation Fund Community Event

News - 16 December 2024

The TU Delft Library Open Education team hosted its latest Open Education Stimulation Fund (OESF) community event on the 26th of November 2024, focusing on recognition and rewards for open education from the educators’ perspective.

The gathering brought together educators and open education advocates, including current and past OESF recipients, to share their motivations for engaging in open education, discuss experiences of recognition and rewards, and exchange ideas on how to better acknowledge contributions in this field. The lively discussions and collaborative atmosphere reflected the deep passion and commitment that drives this community.

A key theme emerging from the discussions was the importance of engaging stakeholders at institutional, faculty, and departmental levels in dialogue about open education policy, implementation and practice. Aligning TU Delft’s vision with educators’ motivations for open education is seen as crucial. The OESF is one step in this direction.
