The TU Delft Campus will receive a subsidy of approximately €900.000 for the development of the campus as part of the Kansen voor West Programme. With this, the campus can improve the existing potential of the thriving Delft innovation ecosystem as a regional focal point and accelerator of innovation and entrepreneurship. TU Delft will co-finance the project, bringing the total amount of funding to €1.8 million over the next four years.
TU Delft Campus is a leading national location for innovation, furthering research and technological developments tackling the major challenges society faces. These challenges cannot be solved by governments, start-ups, SMEs or research institutions alone. Working together within the Delft innovation ecosystem, cutting-edge and break-through technology can be developed thanks to all involved public and private parties working in close tandem.
Cross-pollination of knowledge on TU Delft Campus
The project will focus on improving the strong existing foundation found in Delft and furthering the organisational development of TU Delft Campus. Campuses often excel in cross-pollination of knowledge, ideas and information. The Kansen voor West subsidies aim to speed up innovation on and around TU Delft Campus and improve collaboration with local SMEs.
