Dingding Ren joined ImPhys as Postdoc
Dr. Dingding Ren recently started his postdoc at the Optics Cluster at ImPhys, where he is supervised by Dr. Jian-Rong Gao, to develop novel flat lens systems using a meta-surface for the detectors/arrays working in the submm and THz wavelengths. Such a technology is highly demanded for astronomic instruments from space. His research will take place within the EU RADIOBLOCK consortium and will focus on the fabrication and testing of the metalens system, which will work closely with Dr Adam’s team on the simulation.
Dr. Ren received his PhD in electrical engineering from NTNU, Trondheim, in 2017. Prior to joining ImPhys, he worked as a full-time researcher, running a three-year research project funded by the Research Council of Norway. The project aimed to develop a low-loss photonic platform for broadband longwave infrared sensing and imaging.
