TU Delft flies the 'Sustainable Development Goals' flag to raise awareness of the 17 world goals
On 25 September, TU Delft will raise the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) flag. The reason is the anniversary of the SDGs, which the United Nations adopted in 2015. On this International SDG Action Day, employees and students can submit their ideas for the TU Delft Campus, in the Aula. Here they can get a (free) cup of coffee or tea. From idea to innovation and implementation on the TU Delft Campus.
On Monday 25 September, between 10 am and 3 pm, TU Delft employees and students can come up with ideas, while enjoying a cup of fairtrade coffee or tea. The ideas will be collected and assessed by TU Delft’s Sustainability Team. The best ideas will have a chance to be applied on campus.
The Sustainable Development Goals
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals are important to achieve a sustainable world by 2030, including everyone. All United Nations (UN) member states have adopted these goals. During the International SDG Action Day, various organisations and initiatives in Delft show that they are working on the goals. This also applies.to TU Delft.
Goal 13: Climate Action
TU Delft has the sustainability ambition of being carbon neutral, circular and climate-adaptive by 2030, whilst contributing to biodiversity and quality of life. The TU Delft Campus will become a living lab for innovation. This way our university already contributes to multiple SDGs, especially number 13, climate action. Joining forces of our engineers, designers, scientists with government and industry will help to achieve the goals.
