National XR Day
On July 5th 2023, SURF and TU Delft Library (NewMediaCentre) hosted the National XR Day. Over 200 guests saw the latest developments and interesting applications in the field of XR, and learned about the technology behind it. The day was full of keynotes, talks, lightning rounds, workshops, and demos.
We would like to thank keynote speakers Joris Weijdom, researcher and designer of performative XR experiences, lecturer at HKU University of the Arts Utrecht, and Esther Mertens, postdoctoral researcher of Clinical Neurodevelopmental Sciences at Leiden University. The event was a success, putting experts in conversation with education and research across the nation as well as revealing the collective commitment to incorporating this technology into libraries, research, and education.
