TU Delft raises rainbow flag

TU Delft attaches great importance to diversity and inclusion and is committed to a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual community on our campus. Therefore, beginning Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the start of Pride Week 2022, the rainbow flag will be raised on campus. The rainbow flag is the international symbol for LGBT+ acceptance.

For many students and staff, this will be the first time they see such a this flag flying at their educational institution. The flag will hang in front of the Aula - the heart of the campus - and will stay up all year. Earlier, Coming Out Day and Purple Friday were already celebrated at TU Delft. The initiative came from the LGBT+ community and the Diversity Office of the university.
