The number of trees on the campus, and the benefits that they give us.
We are currently working on making the campus more sustainable. Treetracker provides accurate and smart automated tree information, which gives a good insight in the number of trees on the TU Delft campus and the benefits they give us. Across the campus, there are currently 2.547 trees, which give a positive ecological impact in six different ways:
- Filtered air pollution: 877 [kg/year]
- CO2 capture: 42.365 [kg/year]
- CO2 storage: 1.578.186 [kg]
- Structural value: 5.512.186 [€]
- Water retention: 2.390 [m3/year]
- Annual benefits: 35.703 [€/year]
