"How can space provide answers to global problems? This question will be the focus of the European Space Summit in Toulouse on 16 February 2022. The Netherlands will also be present with a delegation. One of these global problems is global warming. Atmospheric monitoring from space is essential for tackling climate change, for example for tracing pollution at its source. The Netherlands can play a leading and rewarding role in this. But only when our country comes up with an ambitious agenda for earth observation.” This is what Henri Werij, dean of Aerospace Engineering TU Delft, Arnaud de Jong, managing director TNO Industry, Jeroen Rotteveel, ceo Isispace and Rob Postma, ceo Airbus Nederland argue in the FD of 15 February.
