TU Delft becomes New European Bauhaus partner
TU Delft has been selected as a partner of the New European Bauhaus. The New European Bauhaus is a think-do tank initiated by Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission. It is a design laboratory, accelerator and network at the same time. A creative and interdisciplinary movement, creating a meeting place to rediscover sustainable practices, reinforce today's most inspiring practices and design future ways of living, at the crossroads between art, culture and science. The New European Bauhaus will also give direction to new Horizon Europe research calls.
Participation in the broad EU initiative fits well with the so-called 'sectorbeeld' on the Design Engineering Sciences in which the faculties of Architecture and the Built Environment, Industrial Design Engineering, and Technology Policy and Management are actively participating. This strategic agenda will be presented on 23 June 2021.
