South Holland universities and applied universities inspiring each other about AI (-related) education
On March 22 the applied universities and universities of South Holland got together to share information and inspire each other about education in the field of AI, data and digitalisation. All corners of the region were represented, including The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Leiden University of Applied Sciences, InHolland University of Applied Sciences, Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Leiden University and TU Delft.
With an increasing number of encounters happening amongst the universities and applied universities on AI (-related) education, TU Delft initiated this meeting with colleagues from the different institutions. Education in and with AI plays a role at all institutions. This meeting offered a welcome opportunity to share experiences and initiatives, explore what the (additional) collaborative possibilities are, and how the institutions could jointly meet the need of students for AI (-related) education and the societal need for experts in this field.
Amongst the participants was a lot of enthusiasm for future cooperation and exploring the exchange of educational resources. The goal for the future is to inform and discuss on regular basis, as part of the education activities of the Holland AI hub; as well as to possibly involve other stakeholders of ‘human capital development’, such as the municipalities in the region. Via this budding network, the educational institutes can join efforts on AI (-related) education activities and initiatives where possible, including the exchange of teaching materials and possibly submit applications jointly in the future.
