Bianca Giovanardi and Wei Yu to start DTF tenure track positions
This year the faculty will be joined by two new tenure trackers as part of the Delft Technology Fellowship Programme, aimed at high potential female academic researchers. Dr. Bianca Giovanardi will join the Aerospace Structures and Materials department as a specialist on High Performance Computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI). She currently works at MIT and will join the faculty in December as an assistant professor. On 1 July Dr. Wei Yu will start her new position as an assistant professor on wind energy at the department of Aerodynamics, Wind Energy, Flight Performance and Propulsion. She currently works for ECN/TNO. Dean Henri Werij: “I am very excited about these two outstanding young researchers. They have all the potential to become future leaders in their fields. I am looking forward to welcome them at the faculty.”
