TU Delft rises even higher in the QS World University Rankings
TU Delft has risen two places in the latest QS World University Rankings - from number 52 to 50. The 50th position puts TU Delft in the top 5% of best-performing universities in the QS Rankings. Since 2014, TU Delft's ranking on this list has risen by 45 places.
QS evaluated more than 1,600 universities this year, of which 1,001 ended up on the actual list. The indicators for this ranking are: academic reputation, reputation amongst employers of alumni, citations per faculty member, student/staff ratio, international students and international faculty members. TU Delft improved in respect of almost all indicators.
Alongside the Shanghai and Times Higher Education rankings, the QS Rankings is one of the three leading international university rankings. Each of these rankings is compiled using a slightly different methodology, each with its own advantages and limitations. The main reason rankings such as the QS are important to universities is because they help attract international talent.
