Fulbright Scholarship for Ecological Interface Design
Associate Professor Rene van Passen has been awarded a received a Fulbright scholarship for Senior Scholar.
Dr. van Passen won the award for his work on Ecological Interface Design. That provides an approach that starts with the analysis of the work and action possibilities for a specific application, typically a complex sociotechnical system. The analysis results are then translated into interfaces that provide effective operator support.
For his award, he will be to going to Penn State University from October 1, 2019 until June 30, 2020. There he will be elaborating on and teaching about his work on Ecological Interface Design as well as collaborating on research in flight simulation.
According to their website, “The Fulbright Senior Scholar programme supports activities and projects that recognise and promote the critical relationship between educational exchange and international understanding.”
