Matscan winner of the Delft Urban Energy Climathon

On the 26th and 27th of October 2018, the second edition of the Delft Climathon was organized as a Climate-KIC event with the Urban Energy Platform, the Green Village and the municipality of Delft joining in on the organization. Over 35 students and young professional worked 24 hours on tackling two challenges defined by the city of Delft 

After 24 hours Matscan was crowned as the winner. The Matscan creates material inventories from existing structures, enabling future reuse of the material in environmentally friendly circular construction projects. The team was praised for their innovative data science approach for material identification and indexing, and the ease of use.
