Iman Esmaeil Zadeh joined our group as Post-Doc
Iman will work on: "High performance Superconducting Nanowire single-Photon Detectors". His supervisor is Silvania Pereira.
My name is Iman Esmaeil Zadeh. I did my master study in Sweden and got my PhD in Tudelft on Integrated Quantum Optics (back then in Quantum Transport group). After my PhD, I worked two years for Single Quantum B.V., a spin-off company of our PhD research group, manufacturing superconducting nanowires single-photon detectors.
Besides being busy with R&D and production I was also involved in an initiative for developing detectors for imaging and spectroscopy. During this period I found myself very interested in these topics and I am very happy to now join the optics group (and Imphys) as a postdoc. I hope I can learn a lot here and interact with as many of you as possible.
Beside science, I like cooking, coffee, hiking, and football (playing and watching, world cup is soon!). So there are also plenty of other ways to socialize!
