Van Leeuwenhoek lecture on Intimate Technology

Birna van Riemsdijk recently gave a Van Leeuwenhoek lecture on Intimate Technology.

Intimate technology such as quantified self, mobile apps to share location, social media, high-tech clothing and behavior-supporting technology such as smart homes are getting "closer" in our daily lives. These digital technologies have many (potential) advantages, for example for improving our health, efficiency, safety and connection with other people. But we also worry about what the technologies do to us as humans, especially when they use the power of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
