Inald Lagendijk has been appointed Distinguished Professor

Last December Inald has been appointed Distinguished Professor in the field of Computing-based Society. He was chosen because he made important contributions by designing and defining the new focus area Computing-based Society.

The title of Distuinguished Professor is reserved for full professors who are important figureheads in specific fields both at and outside the university. Lagendijks’s appointment makes him the fifth Distinguished Professor at TU Delft. Professors Luuk van der Wielen (Biobased Economy), Sybrand van der Zwaag (Material Science), Rob Mudde (Science Education) and Serge Hoogendoorn (Civil Engineering and Geosciences) being the others.
