Westerdijk Talent Impuls: 100 women professor

Minister of Education, Culture and Science Ingrid van Engelshoven recently announced that universities have succeeded in appointing 100 new female professors. The TU Delft appointed 7 new female professors, three more than the six agreed upon in interuniversity cooperation. 'A sign that the university is serious about the extra appointments of female professors', saysNeelke Doorn, Professor Ethics of Water Engineering at the faculty of Technology, Policy and Management, in de Volkskrant. To commemorate the 'Westerdijk year', the ministry made additional resources (5 million euros) available to appoint 100 female professors.
