Rethink the City MOOC receives honourable mention
‘Rethink the City: New approaches to Global and Local Urban Challenges’ received an honourable mention in the 2018 Open Education Awards, category ‘Open Cource / OCW / MOOC’. The successful MOOC will start its second run on 2 May 2018 and is still open for enrolment.
The Open Education Awards are awarded annually by the Open Education Consortium, dedicated to improving educational access and effectiveness worldwide. All nominations are judged in different categories by an international awards committee. The honourable mentions do not receive an actual award, but are considered too good not to mention by the international community.
Rethink the City previously won the 2017 AESOP ‘Excellence in Teaching’ Award (read more here), the first MOOC to be awarded this honour. The first run of the course attracted 10.000 students worldwide, the re-run already has 4.000 students enrolled. The re-run will involve new material, including a whole new model about the urban challenges on the African continent. Student can enrol here to participate.
