On 2 June, the jury announced this year’s national Archiprix winners. The second prize was awarded to BK alumna Barbara Prezelj for her project Unfamiliar Territory. This design proposal focusses on a landscape near Paris, aiming to find ways of dealing with places of friction without reducing their complexity.
Additionally, BK received two honorary mentions. Both Loed Stolte’s project The Bank of England: a dialectical project and Rhizome by Arianna Fornasiero and Paolo Turconi were mentioned by the jury as highly inspiring and outstanding examples of academic and societal architectural interventions. The first prize was awarded to TU Eindhoven alumnus Jesper Baltussen. In general, the jury was very impressed with the graphic quality, the academic approach, the level of innovation, and the attention to societal issues of all projects.
