IDE researcher receives SSMO Haftka Young Investigator Award 2023
TU Delft | Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering Associate Professor Jun Wu was presented with the prestigious ISSMO Haftka Young Investigator Award 2023 during the 15th World Congress of Structural and Multidisiplinary Optimisation (WCSMO-15) in Cork, Ireland on 8 June 2023.
The Awards Committee: “The award recognizes his outstanding research achievements and contributions in computational design optimization, including topology optimization across multiple scales and optimization considering manufacturing process planning, particularly as these relate to additive manufacturing. The award also recognizes his impactful service to the ISSMO community through initiation and continued organization of the TOP Webinar Series that brings researchers around the world together to promote and discuss topology optimization research.”
Huge thanks to ISSMO and the award committee for this recognition. Being part of the ISSMO community brings me immense joy and fulfilment. I would like to express my deep appreciation to the executive committee and all our wonderful colleagues like Haftka, for shaping such a warm and vibrant community.
