Launch of handbook on social contagion in energy transition
How can we ensure that everyone feels involved in the energy transition? Who inspires whom? And what is inspiring? IDE researchers Jotte de Koning and Sonja van Dam, together with University of Utrecht, have developed a practical handbook on how to develop your own social contagion strategy to make the energy transition really resonate with people.
On the 17th of November the ENRGISED project celebrated 4 years of research on Social Contagion towards the Energy Transition. The project studied how citizens could be activated to join the energy transition through social contagion.
The results of the project were presented by IDE researchers Jotte de Koning and Sonja van Dam together with the faculty of Social Sciences and Computer Sciences of the University of Utrecht, during the final symposium at Firma van Buiten.
During this event a handbook on social contagion was also presented: Transitioning Together, sparking change towards the energy transition. On the 17th the first official copy of our handbook was handed over to the Municipality of Haarlem, one of the project partners. The symposium was attended by people from other universities, design agencies and the municipalities of Haarlem, Zeist, Delft as well as the Ministry of Economics and Climate.
