IDE at ThingsCon’s Boutiques of Salons 2021
The 2021 virtual edition of ThingsCon’s Boutiques of Salons takes place tomorrow (10 December) from 17:30 – 20:00 CET. This year’s theme is EVERY___, which will be distilled even further into three topics: “EVERY__thing”, “EVERY__one”, and “EVERY__where”.
Under the topic of “EVERY__thing”, attendees will be able to enjoy talks by IDE Professor Elisa Giaccardi (on behalf of DCODE) and IDE alumni Simone Rebaudengo.
This year’s event will also include the student IoT Talent Awards and a digital exhibition – both of which will feature three IDE graduation projects:
- ‘Tech-toolkit for girls’ by Anne Arzberger
- ‘Designing for transparent intentions in AI powered energy systems’ by Meenu Sara Mathai Reji
- ‘Towards an active predictive relation by reconceptualizing a vacuum robot’ by Piecheng Guo
All three projects have also been nominated to win an IoT Talent Award. The graduates will pitch their projects at the event and winners will be announced at the end of the evening. Virtual attendees will also be able to view the student exhibition, which will open its “doors” at 14:00 CET.
