Aalborg University offers both national and international students a varied selection of programmes and conducts world-class research in selected fields such as Health Technology, Energy, Computer Science and Innovation Economics.

AE faculty contract

Students can only follow take courses from the Department of Energy Technology. BSc students can only follow BSc courses and MSc students can only follow MSc courses. BSc students can choose from three separate specializations, namely Mechatronics, Electrical Energy Engineering and Thermal Energy Engineering. All university programmes are based on problem based learning (PBL). Students work in groups applying problem-oriented methods in preparing projects of a high academic standard. Please note that for the Mechatronics and Electrical Energy Engineering specializations, it is a pre-requisite to have knowledge/passed courses on Circuit Theory and Control Theory.

After nomination, Dutch students must enclose their high school papers in their application to Aalborg University proving they have followed English on a very high level. International students must attach their English language test results they obtained before being admitted to TU Delft.

Exchange students can choose from all unrestricted courses offered in English. The maximum number of courses you can sign up for per semester is 7 courses, each worth five credits. DTU also offers Danish language courses for a fee.
BSc students are welcome to take MSc courses if they hold the necessary pre-requisites. Courses can be found using the online course catalogue. Programme specifications can be found here.
The semester is split up into a 13-week period beginning in September and 2 weeks of winter exams up until Christmas followed by a 3-week period in January.
Please note, that the International Business Semester is not offered.
