Internships
- Ga naar https://www.integrand.nl/ / http://globalplacement.com/nl of AIESEC in The Netherlands - AIESEC in The Netherlands
It is possible to do an internship as part of your TPM master’s programme. On this page, you will find more information about the different kinds of internships and how to find one. Start the process for your internship in time.
Different kinds of internships:
-
The rules for an external project (TPM593A) can be found in the Course Guide. You need to find an internship, a TPM supervisor and a supervisor at the external company yourself. Your intended TPM supervisor decides whether your internship is suitable regarding the TPM content. For questions that can not be found in the course guide, contact the Internship Coordinator Juan M. Durán.
Note that we expect that the duration of the internship matches the study load (10 EC). Extentsions will only be granted in exceptional case, so check before. -
The second option is to graduate at an external company and fulfil your research project at the company. You need to find an internship, a TPM supervisor and a supervisor at the external company yourself. Please note that your internship project needs to be approved by the TPM supervisor before the start of your project. Your graduation agreement has to be signed by the dean of the Faculty (see Forms for the model graduation contract). To this end, please send the draft of this contract including Appendix 1: Description of the graduation project as agreed between the Student, the Company and TU Delft to Joost Groot Kormelink.
Please note, that at the start of the graduation project (in The Netherlands or abroad) you may lack a maximum number of 9 ects. In case of 10 ects or more the graduation kick-off will not be approved.
By doing an external graduation project it is implied that the student takes responsibility for a timely start, progress and finalization of the project.
Warning: some companies may ask you to sign a (bilateral) contract with penalty clauses and/or far too restrictive results for publication (non-disclosure agreement/confidentiality). Never sign such an agreement in order to avoid future problems but ask for advice first. For more information, see the Graduation Portal and check the Tips and procedures document for external graduation. If you have additional questions, please contact J.B.J. Groot Kormelink.
-
Some companies offer internships without credits (ECTS). TU Delft does not sign contracts if you do not receive study credits for your internship. Most companies who are in contact with Curius, are aware of this. For questions, please contact Curius.
