Introduction

Welcome!

The key to a successful study lies in particular in a feasible study plan and the way you execute it. MSc TIL is a two-year programme, that remains largely the same during this period. You follow the Study guide and the Program Navigator of the year you started with your MSc TIL.

Nonetheless, education programmes gradually change over time. Lecturers may change their courses. Some lecturers leave. New lecturers may be appointed with a different take on the content of a course. Substantial course changes always lead to a new course code. Changes in lecturing staff may also affect your options regarding supervision of your TIL Design or final Thesis project.

Regular study programme changes are prepared until May and are in effect as of September the same year. Unplanned changes are rare, but they do happen. We will always mitigate the impact on your individual programmes.

If courses are no longer provided, then the course instructor should allow at least 2 exams after it has ended. In case of changes - code, content or EC - then you have to read the Teaching and Examination Regulations (TER), in particular the Transitional rules, to see what has changed, if it affects you and what you should do to compy with the changes.

The TIL Programme underwent a major change in 2022. Those of you who follow a pre-2022 programme should not unnecessarily choose a replacement course in the new program or switch to the new programme. Contact the responsible instructor of the course to discuss your options and find a solution. If that does not help, then contact dr. Stefano Fazi or one of the study advisors.

My Study Planning is an important planning tool. Changes of your programme always need a written approval by the Board of Examiners of CEG.

Experience tells that many issues can be prevented if you act on time and as specified.

Success with your Msc TIL study.
