Electrical Engineering - Signals & Systems (EEMCS)

Electronics are increasingly being integrated into everyday items and everyday life. Chips, sensors and antennas can be found in consumer electronics products (e.g. portable audio players, HDTV and DVB-H receivers) and communication devices (e.g. mobile phones, home appliances and cars), as well as in sophisticated equipment for science and industry (e.g. radar systems, control systems for robots, and medical systems).

Design for Interaction (IDE)

DFI offers a large range of different types of assignments, including digital society-related topics, for example designing solutions for elderly to deal with the digital society.

Electrical Engineering - Microelectronics (EEMCS)

The enhancement of the Digital Society requires the enhancement of all the relevant mictroelectronic devices, from smart sensors to microsystems, and semiconductor fabrication to signal processing, all will be taught during this Master Programme.

Computer science (EEMCS)

Analysing, predicting and securing data for applications is what is at core at Computer Science, that also applies to big data relevant in the Digital Society domain.

Complex Systems Engineering & Management (TPM)

The Information & Communication (I&C) track of the CoSEM programme offers comprehensive education in the field of system architecture and design of I&C based platforms for multi-actor collaboration, business intelligence, safety and security.

Architecture (Arch)

Since a year the chair of Digital Culture and Theory is part of the Architecture track and it starts a combined studio on this with the chair of Complex Projects.

Computer & Embedded Systems Engineering (EEMCS)

Big data and cloud computing, multicore processors, heterogeneous accelerators, parallel computing are all emerging technologies that are crucial in many domains. As a future computer & embedded systems engineer, you will be contributing to the design of systems and computational platforms. You will make sure that the requirements of particular applications are optimally supported, by selecting the right combination of hardware and software architectures for satisfying specific constraints with regard to performance, power and cost.

Aerospace Engineering: Space (AE)

Examples of topics that researchers and alumni of this master’s track are working on, are space instruments that provide data to observe the earth or surfaces of planets and moons, and the miniaturisation of satellites.

Management of Technology (TPM)

The MOT programme educates students as technology managers, analysts of technological markets (either as scientists or consultants), and entrepreneurs in highly technology-based, internationally-oriented and competitive environments for a variety of industrial sectors, such as a growing number of companies with digital business models in order to help those to realize digital transitions in a responsible and sustainable way.
