Computer Graphics and Visualization
We work on many topics in rendering, visualization of (scientific) information and modelling of 3D objects. Our goal is to develop new algorithms to generate, represent, interpret, display and interact with data. In particular, complex and large data sets are in our focus, as they play an increasingly important role in many scientific, medical and engineering applications.
Our research currently concentrates on:

- Image processing (Computational photography, Neural Image Generation, …)
- Immersion, Interaction, and Perception (Virtual/Augmented Reality, Vision models, …)
- Rendering (Real-time, Offline, Predictive, Neural, …)
- Visualization (Data, Scientific, BioMedical Visualization, …)
We teach several courses and supervise student projects in these and related areas.

Visit from Prof. Tim Weyrich
We were delighted to have Prof. Tim Weyrich from the Friedrich Alexander Universität Erlangen with us at Delft University of Technology, TU Delft | Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science today. He was taking us on a journey through Visual Computing, sharing his research results and his personal take on the topic in general. We touched upon appearance, life-like models and more.

Martin Skrodzki ontvangt NWO-subsidie voor speels wetenschapscommunicatieproject over AI-awareness
Martin Skrodzki, from the Computer Graphics and Visualization group, has been awarded the NWO WECOM grant. The aim of this NWO programme is to fund science communication projects that promote the connection between science and society. The goal of Martin’s research project is to enable an AI-informed generation of tomorrow. He is creating an exhibition of four pop-up suitcases that teach the technical fundamentals of AI, and engage the general public in discussions about ethical issues surrounding AI.

Winner of the Michael A. J. Sweeney Award at GI 24
The paper “Sheared Polygonal Texture Filtering” won the Michael A. J. Sweeney Award at GI 24.
