The presentations overviewed and discussed recent developments in modelling, simulation, assessment methods, and design of intelligent controls for systems with massive penetration of power electronic interfaced devices in generation, demand, and transmission. - José Rueda Torres of IEPG not only finished his tenure track way ahead of time, he is now also promoted to Associate Professor. Congratulations!

- Domenico Lahaye of DIAM and Milos Cvetkovic of IEPG are organizing a workshop on Theory and Practice of Co-Simulation of Power Systems on April 24th. Information and registrations are available here.
- Matija Naglic created SADF, a new framework for development of applications based on PMU data
- A Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS Novacor) training was successfully completed by IEPG members and some industry partners in March 2018 at the RTDS TU Delft LAB.
- Our Associate Professor Dr.ir. Marjan Popov, offered an interview on RTDS, protection, and the reliability of power systems. Click here to see his interview (in Dutch).
- Dr.ir. Simon Tindemans started per 1 January 2018 as a new Assistant Professor in the IEPG group.
- José Rueda Torres and Mart van der Meijden received 1,7 million Euros from Synergy call of the EU Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). The EU CEF program is aiming to accelerate investments in the field of trans-European networks in transport, energy and telecommunications.
- Peter Palensky and Milos Cvetkovic received 450.000 Euros for a European Horizon 2020 project EASY-RES.
- Jose L. Rueda, Asst. Professor of IEPG group is co-organizing a special session on "Emerging heuristic optimization algorithms for operational planning of sustainable electrical power systems" in the 2018 IEEE-PES General Meeting held in Portland, USA. Click here for more information.
