Every year, 17.000 people in the Netherlands have an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Without help, only 10% of them survives. With help however, this increases to 70%. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a lifesaving technique useful in many emergencies, including a cardiac arrest or near drowning, in which someone's breathing or heartbeat has stopped. The first minutes of help are crucial, it can be the difference between life or death. That’s why it is of big importance that as many people as possible know how to act in such a critical situation.

During the course, you will receive all necessary information and learn the practical skills you need to respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations. The Red Cross CPR course is certified, if you successfully complete this course you will receive an official European certificate.

Practical Information
No preparations are required and there is no dress code. In order to receive the certificate, you will be asked to fill in your personal information. Should you want to join this course as a TU Delft employee or external party, you have to live in Delft.
