I used to go...
...to the gym, attended some events and collaborated with X in organising the second edition of the Fermentation Festival before I started working here. But I ended up at X via a former student programme maker, a really good friend of mine, Mees (Shout out to him)!
I work...
...at a team that focuses on creating programmes on all kinds of topics such as politics, health, culture or sustainability. The form of the event can basically be anything as well, so I have quite some freedom in creating the programme. For instance, we organised a political debate with students, where every student had to voice the opinion of a party which he or she was not supporting, in order to let them look into others opinions as well.
From all...
...I’ve organised, I am most proud of the Let’s talk about X podcast (LTAX), because it really feels like our project (I organize it with four other students). We come up with topics, invite guests and host the show ourselves.
Since I...
...started at X (Oct 2020), we tried to create a corona-proof setting for LTAX. Until then, it was an event with an expert including a discussion afterwards. However, that is hard on Zoom. Therefore we came up with the idea to use a very popular medium, the podcast.
We thought...
...that, for the last episode of the podcast it would be nice to look back at last year and give a prediction for the next one, especially since it was such an unusual year. Who could do this better than the boss of the TU Delft, Tim van der Hagen!
It was very interesting...
...to talk to him, since he knows all the ins and outs of what happened at a higher level, which we as students do not really witness. We can be a little biased or short sighted when we disagree with certain measures in this case, while we actually do not know the other side of the story. It made me proud to be able to talk to someone on such a high level and me and Iris, the co-host, were very pleased that he was able to make some time for us."
