On the Free Try Outs...
...next week I organise the event ‘Your Face, Your Canvas’. Society often expects us to behave and even look a certain way. What if you would be completely free to express who you are on the inside, how you feel and what you think you should look like if that inner image would be projected on the outside?
Participating...
...in Your Face, Your Canvas will give you an opportunity to express a part of yourself that might otherwise be difficult to communicate. You will use your face as a canvas and paint on your exterior what you feel your interior looks like. You can share this inner image for a long time since X’s photography teacher will take your portrait before and after.
I think...
....it is utterly important that we not only accept who we are but that we feel there is room to show this to people, to empower yourself. Art to me is the ideal way to do so, whether this is through for example making music, drawing or theatre. I have been a musician my whole life and communicating through that has always felt like the real me.
If I had to choose...
...colours that express my inner self, I would use Blue and green. Though I always seem energetic and outgoing, which would go well with red and yellow, on the inside I feel I take more distance to situations, I am calm and rational (blue) and deeply care about the people around me (green).
