Profile
Nynke’s research is dedicated to energy justice, combining climate ethics and political philosophy. The energy transition implies moving away from carbon towards renewable energy. This transition needs to be just, hereby creating one of the largest societal challenges of the coming decades. The RELEASE-project tackles the problem of upscaling energy storage. Nynke conceptualises justice related to energy and energy storage: energy justice. Hereby, she focuses on concepts such as recognition justice and normative uncertainty. She works together with dr. ir. Behnam Taebi and dr. ir. Udo Pesch.
