Biography

Jessie is a PhD candidate at the Policy Analysis section of the faculty of Technology, Policy and Management. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, with a minor in Innovation Management and a specialisation in Energy and Resources, from Utrecht University. She then earned her master's degree in Industrial Ecology from Leiden University and the TU Delft. For her thesis, Jessie used Exploratory System Dynamics Modelling and Analysis to research the development and resilience of the global nickel supply chain. She then worked as a junior researcher at the Design for Sustainability section of the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering, where she assessed the tin supply chain. Currently, Jessie is integrating her previous work in a PhD on metal supply chain modelling, with a specific focus on Rare Earth Elements as part of the Horizon Europe REEsilience project.
