Profile
Theodoros Chatzivasileiadis is an Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance of Climate Adaptation and the lead of the Climate Finance for Climate Resilient Infrastructure flagship of TU Delft’s Climate Action Program. His research is focussed on the economic effects of physical climate risks and the economics of climate change adaptation using Computable General Equilibrium models and econometric analysis.
Academic background
Theodoros holds a PhD in Environmental Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam specialising in economic changes stemming from climate stimuli, and an MSc in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam specialising in Health Economics. Following the completion of his PhD, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at ZEW - Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research in Mannheim Germany, then at E3-Modelling in Athens, Greece and Panteion University in Athens, Greece before returning back to the Netherlands.
